Welcome To My Office: A little tour

I know first hand that starting therapy can be scary. It may help to picture yourself in that new environment before you dive in. Where will I park? Where’s the bathroom? Can I bring my coffee? Where will I sit? I’m hoping to ease your mind with this post.

The First Impression

You can park right out front. Look for the Next Chapter Therapy window sticker. You’re at the right spot.

Walking in, you’ll notice soft lighting, calming colors, and comfortable seating. I wanted the office to feel less like a clinic and more like a cozy living room where you want to hang out for at least an hour.

Feel free to help yourself to a water. (They may be hidden in the cabinet door!) You’re also welcome to bring your own emotional support cup(s)… I know I do! There is also a single restroom that you can access from this space.

The Therapy Space

I’ll come and get you when it’s time for your session. There’s a comfy couch and chair to choose between, pillows to hold, and fidgets to explore. I’ve also collected books, plants, and a few personal touches to make the space feel grounded and human.

Why It Matters

Therapy is hard work, and I want you to feel supported not just by me, but by the room itself. My hope is that when you step inside, you feel both comfortable and cared for.

Thanks for coming along on this little tour—I can’t wait to welcome you in person. — Janie
